The LaCrosse Laboratory was formed in 2019, when Dr. Amber LaCrosse joined the Department of Psychological Science as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. LaCrosse also completed a fellowship with the Aurora Health Care Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. LaCrosse is an Assistant Professor in the Psychological Science Department at Northern Michigan University. Her previous research experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Florida studying cocaine addiction, and a second postdoctoral fellowship studying brain cancer at Aurora Research Institute in Milwaukee, WI. Before joining the Department of Psychological Science, Amber directed the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center at NMU. Her current research is focused on the impact of brain cancer and treatment on cognitive function and quality of life.

Dr. LaCrosse will attend the ASPET conference in Portland, Oregon in April of 2025.
Away from teaching and research, she enjoys swimming and hiking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, bonfires, and her dogs!
